After breakfast, depart for the legendary Maasai Mara National Reserve, one of Africa's most famous safari destinations. Drive through scenic valleys and rolling hills dotted with Maasai villages before arriving at your camp in time for lunch. In the afternoon, head out on your first game drive, where you may encounter elephants, lions, giraffes, and zebras roaming freely across the golden plains.
As the sun sets, return to your lodge for dinner and storytelling around the campfire.
Today is dedicated to exploring the untamed beauty of the Mara. After an early breakfast, set off for a full-day safari, following the tracks of predators and the herds of the Great Migration (seasonal). The Mara is home to all of Africa's "Big Five" lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino as well as hundreds of bird species.
In the afternoon, visit a traditional Maasai village, where you'll learn about the customs, dances, and way of life of this proud, colorful tribe.
Rise early for an optional hot air balloon safari (extra cost) a magical experience floating over the Mara at sunrise, watching herds of animals from above as the morning mist fades. After breakfast, spend the day on game drives exploring different corners of the reserve, from open grasslands to acacia woodlands and winding rivers.
