Your Ugandan adventure begins the moment you land at Entebbe International Airport (EBB). After clearing immigration and collecting your luggage, you will be warmly greeted by our representative who will facilitate your transfer to your preferred hotel. Take the afternoon to decompress from your travels, relax by the pool, or enjoy the views of Lake Victoria. In the early evening, you will receive a comprehensive briefing from your safari guide, covering the upcoming itinerary, gorilla trekking protocols, and answering any final questions.

Your first encounter with the Nile is an unforgettable afternoon boat cruise to the base of the falls. Today is a long but incredibly scenic travel day. We journey south, crossing the mighty Albert Nile and driving through the heart of rural Uganda. The landscape gradually transforms from savannah to verdant, rolling hills as we approach the "Mountains of the Moon," the Rwenzori Range. We arrive in the charming town of Fort Portal in the evening. If time allows, a short, guided walk in the nearby Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary is a perfect way to stretch your legs and spot some initial forest wildlife.

An early morning game drive on the Kasenyi Plains or the Queen's Mile offers fantastic opportunities to see wildlife at its most active. Search for lions, large herds of elephant, buffalo, and countless Uganda kob. In the afternoon, we embark on a classic safari experience: the Kazinga Channel boat cruise. This natural channel connecting Lakes George and Edward is a magnet for wildlife, and the boat gets you remarkably close to enormous hippo pods, bashing crocodiles, elephants bathing, and a spectacular array of waterbirds.

This is the day you've been waiting for. After an early breakfast and a short transfer to the park headquarters, you will be assigned to a gorilla family group and receive a final briefing from the park rangers. The trek itself is an adventure through the ancient, dense rainforest. Once the gorilla family is located, you will spend one magical and strictly enforced hour in their presence. Watching a Silverback lead his family, infants play, and mothers nurture their young is a profound, humbling, and life-changing experience that you will carry with you forever.

This breathtakingly beautiful crater lake is one of the deepest in Africa and dotted with countless islands. Check into your lodge perched on the hillsides and spend the afternoon soaking in the serene atmosphere. You can take a traditional dugout canoe trip to explore the islands, go for a swim in the bilharzia-free waters, or simply relax and enjoy the stunning panoramic views from your lodge.

After a final breakfast overlooking the tranquil lake, we begin a short and scenic drive to the Rwandan border. After completing border formalities, we continue to Kigali. You will be dropped off at a hotel of your choice in the city or directly at Kigali International Airport (KGL) for your onward evening flight. This option is by far the most efficient and saves a full day of travel compared to driving back to Entebbe.
