Detailed 6-Day Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe / Kampala — Meet & Greet

Distance / Travel time: Entebbe Airport to Kampala approx. 40–50 km / Approx. 45–75 mins depending on traffic.

Welcome to the "Pearl of Africa!" Your guide will meet you at Entebbe International Airport, providing a warm welcome and a chilled bottle of water. You'll be transferred to your hotel in Kampala or a serene lakeside spot in Entebbe. After some time to rest and freshen up, a detailed pre-departure briefing will prepare you for the adventure ahead, covering everything from gorilla trekking etiquette to what to expect on game drives.

Day 2: Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Distance / Travel time: Approx. 410 km / 6–7 hrs.

After an early breakfast, journey southwest as the cityscape gives way to rolling hills, lush banana plantations, and vibrant roadside markets. You'll cross the Equator – a perfect photo opportunity! Descend into the Albertine Rift Valley, arriving at Queen Elizabeth National Park in the early afternoon. Your first taste of African wildlife comes with an afternoon game drive on the Kasenyi Plains, known for its large herds of Uganda kob.

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

This is the day you've been waiting for! After an early breakfast and transfer to the park headquarters, you'll be assigned to a gorilla family and receive a safety briefing. The trek itself is an adventure through dense, ancient forest. The moment you come face-to-face with a Mountain Gorilla family is truly life-changing. You will spend one privileged hour observing their fascinating interactions.

Day 6: Departure to Entebbe by Flight or Drive to Rwanda Kigali for Departure

A relaxed morning breakfast then off to Kisoro for a flight back to Entebbe where you will connect with your flight back home. Or drive direct to Kigali city where you can also connect with your flight back home.
